Can you change to Pop Century... go on... you won't regret it X
Is pop century any good:confused: , i was really looking forward to staying at ASM's as the kids know all of the films! I can't believe that virgin didn't let us know that this was going to happen:mad:
Oh Andi I am so sorry, that is not good that you hadn't heard anything ......
The Mighty Ducks pool and the Calypso pool at Music are really nice and it is not far (it's a 4 min walk from the fantasia pool to calypso pool)
or perhaps move to Music resort ...... it is lovely.

Pop Century is new and clean and very very nice... not heard anything bad about it and the choice of pools is good... We LOVED it there. Try not to leave it too long... just in case hun. Is there any pics in people's trip reports of these hotels for you, to help you decide? Anyway... trust me on this... if you can only get into Pop you will NOT be disappointed.
Andi,
We were moved to music last year and Teri was 9 and we had a total blast, she loved the pool, we stayed in the Jazz building.
We found the bus service for Music actually a bit better than movies and this was during food and wine and free dining, but the queues for buses for music were the shortest for any resort when leaving MK or Epcot.
Although not smaller than the other 2 all stars, it certainly felt smaller, I would more than happily return there next year.
ALso when there last year they had been refurbishing some of the rooms and all rooms were getting new security locks on all doors .....
On our first day of check in the calypso pool was closed for it's repaint job and the golf cart was sitting to transport guests over to the fantasia pool, and it really was no trouble at all.
So if you do decide to stick with Movies it won't be the end of the world, in fact if it were me I'd request Mighty Ducks buildings, this way you'd have the mighty ducks pool at your doorstep, you would be 2 mins from the calypso pool and the music food court and the bus service for music as well, but still have the movie theme you wanted around the rest of the resort .....

Thanks for that val, i have just phoned virgin and they don't know anything about it:confused: i have to phone them later and see if they have any info then! I think i am more annoyed that we spent ages deciding which hotel (i mean ages too lol) and trawled through photos of the resort and pool so now to find that the pool isn't even going to be open is a bit annoying to say the least.
i will let you know how i get on;)
I do totally understand, 3 years ago we spent months deciding where to stay and we set on POFQ and with 3 months to go we found out it was being rehabbed for 6 months ..... we had to completely change plans immediately and jumped for the Polynesian ..... it was fantastic, but it took some time to get my head around the change.
Same last year when we moved from the Moderate, I had set my heart on loving it and it didn't happen, wanted Movies and could not get it and was offered Music .... and do you know it was the best thing ever, I am so glad I tried Music, I now have another Value hotel to love .....
Do let us know when Virgin figure it out for you ....
Val that is awful (but nice that you stayed in the poly:D ), it is probably me being stupid but i had set my heart on that hotel and the pool....oh well it will be interesting to hear what virgin say. i will let you know as soon as i do:D

oops must have missed that, i can't believe that Virgin don't know about it, you would have thought that one of their reps might have informed them.
i have been on the phone and now they have sent an e-mail to ask what is going on and the dates etc so i have to phone them next week and see about changing hotel as if they do it now i will have to pay admin charges:mad: , apparently they can't just phone the hotel (like i did) they need written conformation!
will let you know how i get on next week
