Upon checking in at the Yachtsman Steakhouse as we didn’t make a reservation there was to be a wait so we went to the Crew’s Cup Lounge to get a drink and as instructed told the bartender we were waiting for a table next door. Both of us then ordered the 17oz beer and it came in the lovely frozen glasses which caused a lump of beer to freeze and float around like an iceburg We sat down near to the large window which looks into the chilled meat area and for a fair bit of the time there was a butcher in there preparing the various cuts of meat. Within 15 minutes or so we were seated, by a girl who looked strangely familiar. Only later did DH mention she looked a spitting image for Maria Sharapova. There were quite a few families in here with young children but all were well behaved. Some people were dressed up and others were in shorts and t-shirts. Both DH and I were wearing trousers and short sleeved shirts which we felt was right for the type of restaurant we were in. Soon our server arrived and we ordered our drinks while deciding on our meal. We ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio which is a wine we drink at home so know it is will be to our taste. For our appetizers I had the Shrimp Cocktail -- traditional cocktail sauce and mache

while DH had the Caesar Salad -- crisp romaine lettuce, grated parmesan cheese and garlic sourdough croutons

The starters were lovely and then it was onto the entrees I had the Choice Beef Rib Eye - 16 oz. rib eye, cooked medium, served with roasted garlic herb butter and a baked potato

and DH had the Porterhouse - 24 oz. center cut porterhouse, cooked medium, served with baked potato and red wine butter

we also shared a side order of Sautéed Mushroom Caps smothered with sherry and cabernet wine sauce.
Finally it was time for dessert so I ordered the Florida Key Lime Pie - with a graham cracker crust, whipped cream and lady fingers

With DH ordering the Housemade Gelato - three scoops of chocolate in a cookie bowl

The meal was delicious both of the steaks were cooked just right and tasted gorgeous and were soon gone!! I enjoyed the shrimp as they were the huge ones and DH said the salad was nice. The Key Lime Pie was divine just right, light and fluffy with a lovely zesty lime flavour. After the meal we wandered back up to our room and collapsed on the bed, feeling very full
