Description: The Morocco Pavilion at Epcot is considered to be particularly exotic among the World Showcase representatives, as you wander the winding alleyways of an ancient Moroccan village, you come upon the Restaurant Marrakesh, its crown jewel. From intricate, hand-set mosaic tile work to latticed teak shutters and the Moorish motifs adorning the ceilings, the restaurant is an amazing tribute to 12 centuries of Arabic design. Inside, belly dancers perform to Middle Eastern beats. And in a setting fit for a sultan, you shall eat like one too.

. Soon the Mediterranean feast is laid before you and the belly dancer arrives to entertain you to Middle Eastern music, whilst you eat like a Sultan. The flavorful specialties, using a long list of herbs and spices including saffron, a key ingredient in many Moroccan dishes. The menu features couscous with chicken, lamb or a variety of garden vegetables. A favorite appetizer is bastilla, or fried pastry, that combines layers of the pastry with chicken strips seasoned with almonds, powdered sugar and cinnamon. Entrees include Tagine of Chicken with Preserved Lemons and Green Olives, an intensely flavorful meal cooked in traditional Moroccan earthenware. Light and fluffy couscous is the traditional Arabic starch, and you can also order almond and raisin rice to accompany your meal. The dessert menu includes bastilla au lait etamandes, with cream and toasted almonds. The wine list includes French and Moroccan varieties.
