Description: Enjoy a relaxed meal in this New England themed restaurant, located just off the lobby of Disney's Yacht Club Resort. With porthole windows and a picturesque wall of moving sailboats, the Yacht Club Galley features regional New England foods like chowder, fresh fish and home-baked breads along with sandwiches, steaks and chicken specialties.

Pros: Relaxed and quiet, great price
Cons: Possible noise from open public corridor around part of restaurant

We went for dinner at the Yacht Club Galley prior to our Illuminations Cruise in June 2005. The restuarant was nice a quite, there were a few larger parties with children but the atmosphere was very relaxed. We both started with a 17oz domestic draft beer and when it came it was in a huge thick glass iced beer glass, which looked like a very stout red wine glass, which was a lovely touch
For dinner I had New England Clam Chowder followed by Herb Roasted Half Chicken - Served with white cheddar mashed potatoes, buttered baby carrots, and Natural Chicken Jus, and finished off with a vanilla ice cream.
Nathan had a Green Salad followed by Braised Beef "Sandwich" - Red Wine Braised Beef, served open-faced on a Grilled Baguette with Portobello Mushrooms, caramelized onion, wilted arugula, Balsamic reduction, topped with Crumbled Bleu Cheese and for dessert had a chocolate ice cream.
The food was delicious not too much but just enough for us to enjoy all 3 courses.

Claire
