TrailerVac

A Trailer-Mounted Portable Industrial Vacuum Offering High Performance

The TrailerVac meets the industry’s high demands on efficiency, reliability, ease of operation and maintenance giving excellent value for money.

The TrailerVac™ provides the ultimate in flexibility and power, with a variety of models available providing 55kw up to 160kw of vacuum technology. Being trailer mounted makes this powerful unit simple to move around. The self-tipping feature of its integral waste collection hopper, providing either 3.5m³ or 10m³ capacity, is a major advantage for dust and waste removal or recovery, and safe, easy disposal. ATEX models are also available.

Available with an electric or diesel motor, the fully-enclosed system is designed for fast and effective collection of the heaviest deposits and largest quantities of waste. It is particularly suitable for removing bulky or fibrous material and ideal for larger industrial sites such as ports and cargo terminals, quarries and power plants – cleaning out deep pits, trenches, boilers, bucket elevators, conveyor spills, overhead cranes and runways, dust collectors, processing machines and so on.

“The TrailerVac™ meets our needs; it greatly reduces the amount of manual handling, a key issue in Health and Safety standards, and it reduces the risk of dust. What makes it particularly attractive is the self-tipping feature along with the ease with which it can be moved around to wherever needed. Removing the waste material is one thing, but disposing of it safely at another place is another, and the self-tipping mechanism makes this aspect much safer for our operatives.”

WHY use TrailerVac?

Most heavy industry sites have production, raw material handling, packing etc. in several buildings/domestic areas with some distance between the premises. Therefore an ordinary stationary central vacuum cleaning system is not the optimum solution. Instead the TrailerVac SDT-10T is the perfect choice.

The large collecting hopper placed on a trailer for towing by a tractor or similar makes the whole unit easy to transport. The unit can start operating as soon as a hose/pipe is connected. Also the dust handling is easily carried out as there is a built-in tipping cylinder for the discharge. The rigid trailer can carry high load and together with high suction capacity using Roots pump the unit is especially suited for heavy industrial environments.

TrailerVac Operation

The vacuumed material is first separated in a specially designed fall chamber with a wear proof pre-separator inlet.

In this section the heavier particles fall to the bottom of the container. From this section the air is then diverted to the main filter section where residual fine dust is separated. From the filter section the air passes a safety filter before entering the vacuum pump and finally a silencer before exhaust.

The well insulated motor compartment housing ensures a low noise level of the unit.

An unloading valve is placed between the main filter system and the vacuum pump. The vacuum is immediately equalised when the valves opens. At the same time the main filters are being cleaned. This also prevents counter- rotation of the engine as well as less power consumption at starting. It can also be activated by safety control functions.

All functions are operated through the dust-tight control panel which contains control lamps indicating operational status of the unit.

Hanson

“The cleaning team used the TrailerVac™ daily, clearing up about four tonnes of cement and clinker dust a day. That translates into a significant amount of raw material we can profitably recycle, and saves landfill charges of around £150 for every 20 tonnes that we used to send weekly for disposal to the landfill.”

MSS Group

“At the power station, the TrailerVac’s primary tasks are to suck up all the coal dust spillages from conveyors around the plant. These can be as high as 4-5 stories up, so the TrailerVac’s suction power at the nozzle end really matters. It has been outstanding, and I’m delighted we’ve now got one on our fleet.”

Bristol Port

“The TrailerVac’s reliability has been terrific. Because of this, and its simplicity for our operatives in everyday usage, flexibility and suction power, it’s been a simple decision to buy another one. We couldn’t do all the cleaning, dust removal and spillage recycling without it.”
